This is super cool- search across a bunch of social platforms at once.

TL;DR: I’m making a field guide for agencies and brands who want to avoid getting snagged in spammer nets on social platforms like Twitter, Pinterest, and Tumblr, and now is the time to let me know what you need included in it.
(breathe)
As my Twitter family saw earlier today, I’ve been conducting some live-editing parties (they get pretty crazy, *nerd snort*) on Google Docs for a new field guide that will be released in 2013 all about…
</voice of God>
Basically it’s all about Twitter Jail, Pinterest Jail, getting annoying captchas thrown atcha every other second, and getting suspended… when you’re an innocent agency just minding your own marketing business.
This field guide is not for agressive marketers. It’s for agencies and brands who manage lots of accounts, and accidentally get treated like spammers. #injustice
As people who’ve been in on the Google Docs editing sessions know, there is already a lot of structure and content, but it’s not too late to throw stuff at me about what you/your agency needs included.
The usual contact methods:
twitter @bluechoochoo
tumblr [reblog this post w/commentary or send Tumblr Mail]
email: lilbluechoochoo [at] google’s mail situation
If you wanna be kept in the loop, sign up for the mailing list.

You’re definitely tweeting Instagram stuff less.
(Click instagram tag for earlier charts.)
Chart made with Topsy.

A$AP Rocky hit a Twitter Trends special character bug.
I know everybody’s tripping about the TOS scandal.
But it looks like some people thought it less useful to tweet their Instagram pics knowing that they wouldn’t show up in many Twitter clients. (When Instagram decided to stop supporting Twitter Cards.)
Chart below for the past week, days before TOS outrage.

(Using topsy.com’s search tool, not direct to API. So I can’t be sure how exactly they measure links to domains. But this seems to match what more rigorous study has suggested.)

Caught up in a wave of Flickr enthusiasm from some Twitter buddies, I clicked to sign-up, was not given Twitter option, backed away. :(
Even before the recent overhaul, I saw people shout-out Twitter usernames in Flickr photo descriptions. Flickr does care about Twitter, supports Twitter Cards. So why not support Twitter handle awareness, Twitter sign-in?
Worried Twitter will just shut you off? I don’t blame you. Flickr.
Twitter, girl. Reach out to them. Even offer what you took away from Instagram (Find Friends).
